Alameda County, California (Oakland, CA) – On Sunday, November 19, 2023, the deceased victim of a double hit-and-run was named in Oakland, CA.
The 18-year-old New York City resident Arif Mohammed was the crash victim, according to the Alameda County Coroner’s office. Around 10:30 p.m., Mohammed was a passenger in a rental Zipcar that collided with another car south of the Lincoln Avenue exit.
The second automobile drove off, but the Zipcar got immobilized, according to the CHP. When Mohammed was struck and killed by a car that veered to avoid it, two people, including Mohammed, got out of the Zipcar. That car also took off. There were no injuries to the Zipcar driver.
Regarding the cars that caused the collision, investigators have not disclosed any information.
